Red Bones, what can you tell me about them as a breed.

I was just given a year old Red Bone female. Had her out this moring on a roll cage, and she fired up great, on the gorund then I put the cage in a tree and she went to treein, feet on the tree and sitting barking while looking up too. It looks like she going to be a fun project dog, to see if I can make a cat, bear dog out of her. I like her desire and voice, so we will see.
So I have a couple of questions about Red Bones.
1) What are they typicaly known for ? hunting, and traits wise ?
2) What kind of speed do they normally have ?
3) When I see Reb Bones it seems they are normally hunted on Lions and every once in awhile you pictures of them on Bears, but are they bred to normally run Cats ? or do they make decent Bear, dogs too ?
Just curious about the breed as this is the first one I've actually seen, and now own. By how houndy her face is, with the big jowls, and long ears I would thinK she could posess a cold nose. At this point we will see gotta get her nose turned on and see what she can do.
