Snake River Nocturnal Thunder

Postby Dan V » Fri Aug 08, 2008 11:02 pm

I have a Nailor bred male walker who is a proven reproducer and a top notch hunting dog. Thunder is a direct son of Nocturnal Nailor. Thunder has spent his life here in Idaho. He is a proven big game dog. He can catch his own lion, bobcat, bear and coon. He is an excellent strike dog and has rigged several hundred bears. He is an outstanding tree dog and locates bobcats with the best of them. He loves to cold trail and has the speed to make a bobcat climb.

*Thunder is 10 years old and not getting any younger*

I have hunted with Thunder for 6 years. I did not own him until last year when I bought him from a very good friend of mine. I plan on breeding Thunder to a female of mine soon and maybe even freezing some semen for future use. I am also hunting a daughter of Thunder's who is 6 years old and one of the best dogs I have ever been in the woods with.

I am not writing this to brag on the dog, but to let people know about him. If you have a Nailor bred female or a good female you would like to breed to Thunder, let me know. Not alot of direct offspring of Nailor left.

Sire: Nocturnal Nailor

Dam: Bennett's Big Creek Jill. Jill has Spring Creek Rock twice in her pedigree (back aways).

The date on the camera is wrong. That's Thunder on right back in 2003. He rigged and treed this bear.

Spanky, I'm about 30-45 minutes from Boise. Thunder has only sired 3 litters. The last litter was about 3 years ago. My friend who used to own Thunder has a female out of that litter. I have hunted with her and she is great little bobcat dog, good cold nose, loves to cold trail, outstanding tree dog and bang up locater. She sticks on a bad bear and is a great all around dog.

I have heard other pups out of that cross are doing well. I would have to talk to Dave to get more info on how they all turned out.

My dog Sassy came out of his first litter 6 years ago. I could not be happier with her. I can provide referances on people who have hunted with Thunder, Sassy or other off spring of these dogs.

I have some video of Thunder cold trailing on a bobcat last winter. If I can figure out how to put it on here I will.

Gabe, Stud fee is $300
