Here are a few vids of a cat race in a va state forest, the cat was very dependable to always be there run you 30 or 40 mins then go up a tree. Showed up one day early last fall and the pines were chopped down and burnt over, when I asked Forestry department told me the pines were to thick to ever mature to make enough money on, so they cut them down to replant. hated to see that piece ruined

That why I’ve always preferred grey foxes to cats, foxes give an hour plus long, races of hard running, same tricks as a cat and same thick territory. I do enjoy a good cat race though, carrying a dead cat out always more exciting than a fox, but probably because cats aren’t as plentiful here. I’m truly blessed to get to hunt as much as I do and have a decent race here and there.
