I know this is a old post. There is many different types of BMCs some of them tree very well they’re not all yellow I have mostly Red or Brindle colored dogs. I’ve got some that tree very good they’re very hard tree dogs and some of mine are semi open on track. I grew up running fox and coyote hounds I prefer a dog that opens some I don’t want a babbler but some barking on track doesn’t hurt. My dogs are Carnathan and Big Thicket cross BMCs. They have Markleys Lobo, Markleys Shoshone Trapper in them they were tree dogs. They have the East Texas Big Thicket dogs in them Hart, Shives, Ricky Driver, and others that descended from the Big Thicket Dogs.
