Greetings.
Here is another update. Please look up Oregon Outdoor Council on facebook. Jerod has a forum for open discussion that involves all members and concerned citizens. Most every one has a facebook page. This will prove the best dirction for group involvement from a strategic stand point. You can simply ask a question and open up dialog on that question. Jerod has the inside with our elected officials as the lobby for hunting legislation. The more you involve yourself the better the chances will be to pass legislation moving forward. On your facebook page, type in at the top of the page, Oregon Outdoor Council Or any questions?Jerod by phone @541-429-1782
Remember, it does little good to spend the dollars to promote legislation in Salem if you don't register to vote! 50% of the hound hunters I surveyed back in 1994 didn't register to vote to keep the sport they lost!

Here is a link to your Representatives www.house.gov/representatives/find/
Short to the point emails to Salem need to start rolling in!
Please be polite!
Point out the Government has been doing the Administrative removals and management should be directly under the authority of Odfw and Sport hunters should be the "go to" for management of all wildlife in Oregon, not Government!
This should be a sweep if you think about the recent passage of H.B. 3636. This is where 100% of the House and Senate voted for support to fund Government hunters?
Here is what these hypocrites established from this bill.
100% of both House and Senate agreed, Animals are going to be managed one way or another.
How can you have it both ways? You disagree with sport hounds but you step up for the landfill plan complete with Government hounds? Last I checked, hounds are hounds!
Now we need to convince them Government and the declining economy are reasons for bringing back sport hunters. They want to enhance economic development? Start by pumping millions of our dollars directly into Oregons tanked economy!
Between now and February we have a chance to drive the point home! No excuses!

As a hound hunter in Oregon there are 4 things that you need to do!
1- join OUSDA
2- join Oregon Outdoor Council
3- join NRA
4- register to vote and then vote
Join these organizations and just become a number if nothing else. Contribute more if you can and want to. We all need to at least be one more number if nothing else.

#4 is as important as any, get registered and be ready to vote.
