Re: COUGARS?

Search Mike Martell's post's or mine and you will see exactly what is going on and what we can do to help this pass the senate. This is far from over and we need to stay on top of these people to make sure that it does pass. Please dont sit back and think that other people are doing it all and you dont need to do anything. Please send e mails or make phone calls in support of this bill.

Re: COUGARS?
exactly right marshall.... i read a link from the n.r.a. and they are expecting trouble passing this at the senate level....please....get involved. i don't have a set time the senate is going to vote on measure 2337. they are deluged with overviewing 2800 house bills during this legislative session and they just appear to vote on these like cars going through an auction or whenever they end up on the floor...get your support 2337 comments in over this week end!
don't forget to contact your county commissioner and pressure them, after all they will determine if they opt in or out...this is a great idea buddy w. had passed along and i have recruited our commissioners on board, pressuring the legislature for assistance with controlled cougar hunting in my home district, linn county...these commissioners who run each county all across oregon are flat broke...this is a logical bail out for oregon. we are a management tool that is more humane in the end than the alternative method being implemented. our local journalist is also instrumental in comparing both hounds to the government methods in many cases...the foot hold snare....most folks don't know or understand what replaced our hounds...the state and federal government and a pile of our money....
please remember, this does not out and out repeal measure 18. it is a program designed to get the over population under control and managed by science....revocable at any time....thank you.....mike

Re: COUGARS?
so the hunt with dogs for cougars has passed or not, also if it has is there a special tag or licence for it or is it just in your furbears license like you do for bobcat and coon
Re: COUGARS?
my understanding is that it did not pass. Sounds like it sat on a certain senators desk and never got scheduled for a hearing.
