new here, looking for help

Thanks for looking. as stated, I'm new to hounds and hound hunting. But what I'm most concerned with right now is freeze branding. A search said the terms were too common. Personally I've had a lab (close to a champion) and a JRT stolen (I'm sure they were stolen and sold, guess it's kinda common with "breed" dogs). Also my dad's hound in NM came up "missing" for 2 days but he got Jed back.
So, anybody here that would want to help me freeze brand my Walker, I'd sure appreciate it.
Thanks, Tom.

The first thing I did was have a brand made. The way I do it is use 99% alcohol, get ya some dry ice and smash it up put it in a coffee can on top of you brand. Pour in the alcohol and wait about 5 minutes. you'll need to shave the dogs ear down to skin. (or where ever your going to brand) on the ear you'll should only hold it on there about 25 seconds. Make sure when you start that you shake all the excess liquid off the brand before you start or it will get on the brand spot and make a big white spot. Good luck.

Here's a link to a previos discussion on freeze branding. The third post down has a link to the freeze branding procedure from the UKC forum.
