There's nothing like a couple new pups...........
These pups came from Powderhorn. They are full of energy and appear to be pretty smart. I'm really looking forward to working with them and have a good felling about this pair.

Glad to see you're having fun with them Dave! Boy, they look like they've got a rough life over there for sure.. haha I think you picked a fine pair and I'm more than thrilled to see them go your way. You name those suckers yet? Keep those pictures coming as they get older!

LMAO.... I swear watchin a damn pup learning and doin whats in their nature is just as much fun as the hunt itself. great looking start!!!!
Re: There's nothing like a couple new pups...........
They are now going nuts when they see a house cat. My Dad is my landlord and was telling me yesterday that I need to do something about my pups. He says they are louder than the big dogs . LOL They are starting to develope their mouths. Im worried how loud they will be when they get big.
They have also made their first kill. They got one of my hens and shreaded her. I guess it time for a little breaking. I definatley dont want them killing everything at the house. But it did warm my heart a little to see that my little babbies are killers.

What are you planning on running them on?
And as far as them vocalizing, be careful not to be too harsh on em now at such a young age or they mat turn out to be silent when trailing...
Good luck and keep me posted.
I have three bloodhound pups right now that are getting into showing their interest in wanting to run something too, makes it hard for me to part with them. I want to just keep them and train em!!!!! LOL

I will use them on coon and cats.
I dont let them chase the rabbit anymore. My plans are to introduce them to a dead coon this week. I took them hunting for the first time last night. They followed along throught some stuff that was pretty rough for me, just like champs. They were tuned into the race most of the time and never once played or whined like pups. If they were not listening to the race, they were out checking out all the new scents.
