North Central California Houndsmen 2014 Field Trial schedule starts this weekend at the black powder range in the Spenceville wildlife area about 20 miles East of Marysville Ca. the gate will be open Friday afternoon, there will be concessions on site and camping THERE WILL BE NO FIRES ALLOWED PER F&W if you do have a fire you will be asked to leave, at this time there is no water in the creek so bring your own water, we will have a raffle at each event and our last Field Trial will be ELK CREEK the 14th 15th & 16th of March hope you all can make it, what little money we do make from these events go to fight for our hunting rights.

THERE WILL BE NO QUALIFING TRACKS. ALL DOGS WILL BE DRAWN & PLACED IN HEATS. THE WINNERS OF THESE HEATS WILL MOVE ON TO THE FINALS. ALL DOGS IN THE FINALS WILL BE DRAWN.

1ST LINE DOGS WILL ALL GO INTO THERE OWN FINAL
1st TREE 2ND LINE & 2ND TREE DOGS WILL RUN TOGETHER IN FINALS.

Got the tracks laid out, this going to be dry tracking condition, I've never seen the fields so dry it's like late September out there.

Field trial this week end February 14,15 & 16 Brushy Creek/Black Powder Range Spenceville Wildlife Area, start taking entrees at 8:00 close at 9:00(+/-) $800.00 finale on Sunday RAIN OR SHINE the forecast looks like the rain will start after dark and quit by day light, good concessions.

Good turn out 70 + dogs in the field trial and 20+ in the bear race.
Re-entrees start at 8:00 close at 9:00(+/-) finale afternoon, rain is suppose to be done by day light and it should be a good turn out.

We are having our last field trial of the year for Spencville this week end March 1st & 2nd the rain is supposed to be done by the morning and Sunday looks good.

pretty poor showing (21 dogs) re-entrees open at 8:00 and close at 9:00 (or so) all dogs entered in the re-entrees qualify for a finale, this is the last chance to get your dogs ready for Elk Creek March 14th, 15th & 16th. they are calling for a slight chance of showers for Sunday.
