my young pup and bear.

so this is my first hound and ill be down in utah in june and all i was gonna hunt with him was cats but i have been talking to a guy that is gonna help me get my pup going when move down there and now bear are in the picture. so what im wondering is whats the bear population like compared to lions and bobcats? i have heard from a few people that there are lots of cats they just arent too big. im real excited to get down there and get started. im from washington so all you can hunt up here is coons.

Must have been the big game hunters or the UDWR that told you there were a lot of cats (lion) here?????
