Pups Doing Good

Postby bearhuntermatt » Mon Aug 26, 2013 12:31 am

Started training season a couple weeks ago here in VA and running bear a lot and getting a few of them treed. I raised a litter of pups from my top two Plott dogs and was looking forward to getting to some trees since they are 6 months old now. They have surely impressed me so far. First bear they was on went 4 miles through some rough thick country before it crossed a creek and they stopped. Next day went on a different bear and my male pup made it truck to tree. Today rigged and treed two cubs and the pups were right with front dog when they crossed the road. The little female pup barked right before the old dogs rigged them. Included a couple photos the bears and the pups.

Thanks

Thanks. It was a first time cross and everyone that's been hunting their pup are all having the same results. Ready to see how they do the rest of the year and get them to some kills in kill season.
