A great spring bear race. My two buddies, my dad and I headed north for the last weekend of running. Started out Saturday we put about fifty miles on and it was a bust, couldn’t find a track anywhere so we decided to hang it up and see what Sunday brought. We started out Sunday morning and found luck with a couple of tracks going into a nice section. We turned loose and about eighty yards in, they had em jumped. They bayed him up right in front of me what a sweet sight. The old boy decided to get out of there but didn’t make it a half mile before he found himself caught once again. This time, it was my dad who got to see the action and had a smile on his face when I arrived because he got see his ten month old blue dog doing what she was breed to do. We ran him for a couple more miles and a couple more bayups before the fat and out of shape hounds started tiring out one at a time. It sure was a fun weekend hunting with my dad and two great friends and teasing everyone about their mutts. Now we'll wait for July to do it all over again. KEEP EM RUNNING BOYS!
