1. Judd Hanna was not there representing the California Fish and Game Wardens Association in any official capacity. He called himself the de facto president in order to try to garner some credibility for his ever-increasing irrelevance in the hunting community in California. He couldn't hack it on the California Fish and Game Commission, so he desperately hangs on to his affiliations with CAL-Tip and the game warden's association. The guy was there representing himself and his Faustian alliance with HSUS; he's being used as a stooge and has no clue about what the ultimate objectives of HSUS are, nor can he see how illogical his condemnation of hound hunting truly is. I pity him.

2. The California Fish and Game Wardens Association is not a part of the California Department of Fish and Game.

3. I was truly impressed by Warden Boyd's presence and vocal opposition to SB 1221. I believe that we should take him and his actions at face value and not even try to make vague reference to any ulterior motives. I know he has said and done some "interesting" things on Wild Justice, but I would buy him a beer any time. His work ethic is second-to-none and I appreciate the vigor with which he goes after the bad guys. Obviously, it is important that the good guys don't get lumped in, but I think that by working with him rather than trying in vain to work against him, we can minimize the likelihood of that happening.

I was also impressed that Boyd was there. I am pretty sure he was there with his Brother, who is a houndsman. I think he also wanted to get a few of us hound guys off his back for the way the TV show portrays him. You all know damn well, they only show what they want us to see. And I agree he got shown doing a few "interesting" things, but haven't we all done some dumb things? His just got flimed. I don't care what most houndsmen think of him, to me it speaks VOLUMES that HE was there, when there were PLENTY of houndsmen who were NOT.

Man, and I thought we had problems here in Idaho. I really feel sorry for you Nor-Cal folks getting out voted by the south all the time. Good luck, I hope you win your war and keep your right to hunt with dogs!

I dislike boyd simply because of what I see of him on wild justice. Yeasterday I saw him at the Capitol. I suspected he was possibly there to support the bill. He walked into a crowd of 600 houndsman who basically hate him to support us not knowing if we were gonna lynch him before he got his orange button indicating his intention. He stood there in line for hours like the rest of us and listened to houndsman talk shit to him and about him while he waited for his time to say he didn't support the bill. Either he is incredibly brave or stupid for showing up yesterday. I really don't care. He was there to support us. I thank and respect him for that. There were a lot of other houndsman that I know who simply didn't care to go yesterday.

DITTO....
Boyd took his down off the shelf and came to stand in line with us and say 'NO',
THERE ARE A TON OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE HUNTED WITH ME THAT WERE NOT THERE...
There are a ton of people I can think of with hounds who were not there...
Well for all you...
You may get a few more chances to redeem yourselves.
I am figuring you all have a phone, access to the internet and a vehicle...so man up cause the battle has just begun.
And like Josh said, the HSUS stooges where there in full affect, I'm sure there are wardens who did not care for the way 'they' were represented.
And how do you think I liked having an Apache a southern Cahuilla (and a white guy with a fake eagle feather) represent me?
Me, a Northern California Indian whose tribe has always hunted bears (and we had dogs - most tribes did, the history of Canis Familiaris in the new world is a subject that has barely been touched) to be against bear hunting? They want to join some rich white people and govern what I do on MY native soil where I still live, give me a break.
I think it was sad, very sad, the HSUS will use him until the point comes when his wanting to be an Indian interferes with their wanting to stop the use of all animals by ALL people. Then he'll get dumped like they did Michael Vicks dogs. But of course the damage will have been done at that point.

I am also highly annoyed at how Lieu/HSUS used ‘Wild Justice’ and repeated ‘reports’ from Game Wardens to try and make it look like we and our dogs are all a bunch of devil worshipping baby snatchers…
I hope the wardens (and other assorted law enforcement that enforce CADFG code) that are hunters will stand up and take notice, I hope you guys will read this, you need to take a stand now or very soon you will either become ‘humane officers’ or you will be fired or put into another job that demeans you to the point that you quit.
This is the future of CADFG if you guys don’t finally say enough is enough with the HSUS.

I want to remind everyone that we should be posting about this in the BILL INTRODUCED TO BAN PURSUIT OF BEAR AND BOBCAT IN CA This is in the BIG GAME HUNTING WITH DOGS section

Having a bunch of different posts about the same thing only causes confusion and a lack of information being distributed.
