bluetic big game hounds

if you were looking to purchase bluetic pups for running big game who would it be from and what would the bloodlines be. I have ran plotts for many years but i have a soft spot in my heart for a good looking bluetic. with that said thanks for any help you can give

seem like colbolt on here has a good line of blue dogs.

Cobalt has some good dogs, if he doesn't have your type he probably would know who to recommend.


My dogs are heavy cameron breeding, I run them on bobs and do the job for me. Open trailers, decent nose, quick starters, tree well, decent stamina and feet.

There are many good big game lines much closer to you and I am NOT what most would consider a breeder. Michigan is a good place to start looking. Many of the big bluetick "coon" lines are good on big game, also. It all depends on what your requirements are in a dog.

I hunt Smokey River blooded Blueticks on bear and coon.We have had good succes with this line on bear in Georgia and Tennessee.
I will have a litter of heavy Smokey River pups due to be born on 12-29-2012.I can give you all the references you want from various states on pups from my dogs.
