I'm no expert, but I have dogs that rig. my opinion is that a dog either rigs or they don't. you need to put them up and drive where the game is. watch them, encourage them to bark when you know there is a bear, maybe put them up with dogs that rig and maybe they can teach them????? hope that helps

RIG DOGS ARE BRED THAT WAY FIND SOME ONE THAT HAS THAT TYPE OF DOG AND GET SOME OF HIS OR HERS BREEDING.
THAT SAID YOU CAN GET YOUR SELF SOME GOOD BEAR SCENT PUT IT ON A BURLAP SACK HANG IT NEXT TO THE ROAD AND WHEN THE WIND IS BLOWING RIGHT PUT YOUR DOGS UP AND RIG PAST IT WATCH YOUR DOGS CLOSELY AND IF THEY SHOW INTEREST STOP AND ENCOURAGE THEM. THIS WILL START THEM USING THEIR NOSES OFF THE RIG DO THIS UNTIL YOU CAN GET THEM TRYING TO START. AFTER THIS GO HUNTING
BUT IT STILL TAKES A SPECIAL DOG TO STRIKE A BEAR THEN GET OFF THE TRUCK AND KNOWS WHERE TO GO TO FIND THAT TRACK THAT IS BREEDING
JMO HOPE IT HELPS
