Drathaars

I'm looking to see if anyone has any experience running Drathaars on Bears. I can't run Bears here to hunt them, it's illegal where I'm at. But I use dogs to haze bears out of Industrial Camps and worksites. I've been told a Drathaar will be gritty enough to stand up to a bear, especially if it wants to make a stand.
Also, I guide a few bear hunters here and have wounded bears from time to time. A Drathaar is supposed to have the nose and the patience to sort out a blood trail, even a thin one.
I talked to a fellow who told me they test the Drathaars on a man made blood trail using 8 ounces of blood over 1000 yards and wait 40 hours before they put the dog on it.
Anybody have any insight or experience into this breed?

What happened to the Airedale?

That Airedale was a nice dog, I put a lot into training her, but she didn't work out as good as I had hoped. Bert's dog is doing good in Millarville, the two are inseperable, but I think she has a barking issue. Also, his yard looks like it was cultivated, the Airedales like to dig!
Did you ever breed again Paul? Ranger still liking to play with the Grizzlies behind your place?

Mine did not work. Put him on many jumped hot bears. He did not seem too interested once the bear charged him. Too expensive to try another.

I was also gonna try this and have a few diff threads started on subject. If getting a dog in states I'd contact Chris Phillips and try one of his dogs.
