Trail Cameras

Postby Rowdy Fitz » Sat Feb 13, 2021 3:32 am

Do you run trail cameras for lions? I’m not talking about the ones that send pictures to your phone and no one cares if you think they’re “cheating”.

Where do you like to set yours up? On bluffs, under bluffs, in saddles, on scrapes, two cameras facing opposite directions?

All those places you mentioned are good if lions travel true the area or you have find lion sign there, in my opinion lion scratches are the best spots to set trail cams.

I finally had some luck with my trail cameras. I put them out the end of Feb. I set that camera up on 3 scrapes in a saddle. I found 3 more scrapes on the way in to check the camera today. Here’s a video of a lion making a scrape on 4/2/21.
