Re: Blue Lacy hog dogs
I'm not sure about the exact lines. I picked them up from a guy in Cottonwood Ca named Mark Lacey. I'm in the same area, he is a friend of a friend and he got one, I had heard a little about them before but never gave it much thought until I saw this one. I picked up the 2 of them. 6 months old now and I have got 2 pigs with a couple hounds and the laceys. They are smart, and really fast. I really like them, Mark also told me that I would get rid of the hounds too
Re: Blue Lacy hog dogs
Ya, I caught that. And I am familiar with Marks lines, at least in passing. You should have a ball of energy and a bunch of fun on your hands.
I was actually asking about Pigstickendude's dogs though. I try to keep up with most of whats out there and actually utilized as hunting stock, especially locally, but I don't think that I know him. Or maybe I do and just don't recognize him as Pigstickindude. Anyway, I am particularly interested to know if his lines are compatible with ours.

How bout an update on them pups? I recently lost mine and now am back to all yella dogs, but would like to know how their doing. Are they smaller dogs, are they energetic, and are they easy to train?? Just asking cause I'm wondering if your lines are similar to the ones in Texas. Thanks!

Re: Blue Lacy hog dogs
I read about you losing a couple a while back, sorry to hear about that. I haven't been working with any of my dogs alot lately, working so much. I did have them on 2 boars a little while back, they did really well. One caught a turkey
Took one out last night with a couple of hounds and treed 2 coons, he was right there trail to tree! That was his first time. They are 8 months old now. They have stayed really small, they are about 35 lbs, dark gray with gray eyes and a curly tail. Full of energy, I road them with the hounds and they swim in the pond when they are done, I like their build and temperment. I have been pretty happy with them so far. This is the site of the person who I got them from. The parents are on here. http://www.bluelacydogs.com/ Sorry again to hear about your dogs, and thanks for asking about how mine are doing.

Re: Blue Lacy hog dogs
Read your screen name on here a few times and wondered if that was you!! You sure took your time letting me know it. Shoot, were going to take them bear hunting with the hounds too.
Question, Is Violet Trigger's sister? Good to hear from you

Re: Blue Lacy hog dogs
I looked at the photo of the dog on the tree and "blinked" it looks just like Violet straight up and all.

Re: Blue Lacy hog dogs
Well Violet is her aunt...that is Hannah.
Re: Blue Lacy hog dogs
I got me one of them little blu dogs out of New Mexico, she has just been run with my other hounds on coon, but will get turned in on bear this year. She is crazy smart and minds well. at a year old I could call her off coon when I would play hell calling off a hound. She won't give an inch to a nasty coon, and will fight one in deep water, till I call her off. She is loyal and not mean or ill in any way.

Re: Blue Lacy Hog Dogs
You will have to give an update and a couple pictures during bear season.
