cougar hound, there are hundreds of videos in you tube similar to this, i put this one just to show a shepperd can do the job on hog, and this hunter is from Argentina, and is a traditional way of harvest wild pig from long time ago.

I think the guy that posted this was trying to show that german shepards were used to catch this hog. This hog was NOT caught with german shepards. It was caught in a leghold trap and the dogs simply mauled it on the ground as most dogs would. Pathetic video to show in public. As mentioned, this is the type of video that hurts all houndsmen.

No doubt the video is very wrong to post. I dont see how any man that calls himself a sportsman wouldnt see that. I make a motion to remove this topic from the forum. Hopefully this guy will learn from it and realize that this is not the kind of trash people want to see.

I agree with most of you guys. Not a very sportsman like thing to do. I say catch and tie and don't even use a catch dog unless it's a pretty big pig with large teeth. I caught pigs with just bay dogs and grabbed a hind leg with out a dog ever puttin their mouth on a pig. I think in order for it to be sporting you've got to be able to try and take some risk too, and stickin a pig that's caught by a bunch of stray pot lickers isn't too risky, it's a little cowardly if you ask me.

But to show some gory killing of any animal is just not right.
