north texas hog dog tournment

well me fonzie an txsteve hunted the NTHD tourment this weekend didnt win but had alot of fun

well we got to the ranch about 9 pm got the dogs ready an headed to the river , we got on both sides an started walking down it we didnt go 200 yards an steve dogs sam starts baying an tryes to catch a hog 30 yards form me down i had a good view from the cliff i was on i send my bulldog an we got a caught hog in 10 min lol he wasnt very big but had some teeth an a very poor attitude haha cut steves dog up noting to bad but got him in a few places , we though heck ya we are fixing to catch some hogs we anit been here an hour an got one in the truck ...boy were we wrong we hunted the rest of the night till bout 2 30 an nothing so we go take a nap an start hunting again around 6 or 7 go back to the river we get on some hogs , get a big one bayed an send my stag in he catches but gets shook tore his tooth out an cut him in the chest glad he had vest on it put a good scrape in vest an slid off an got him , could of been alot worse that hog leaves the country !! we soon get on some more hogs an a big one runs right in front of me i hear some barking i get over there an we caught a piglet , we try to lead the dogs out in to the feild were the big hogs went but its so dry they cant hardly trail it to good ,

so we head back in out of the heat ,
start hunting about 7 30 pm go down to the river an withing 5 min we got a bay goin send the catch dogs an catch a 100 pound sow with tags in her ears ?? weird we hunting 15,000 acer who knows where she came from an we get there an im happy as can be my 14 month old pup that has been showing no intrest in a hog is bayin her butt off !!!
we take that one to truck an start down river an withing 200 yards are on another hog a big big sow she swims the river an heads across big feild dogs go 900 an i cant hear no barking , all the sudden my catch dog starts dragin me so i know he can hear something , we swim river for the 100th time go a few hundred yards an hear squealing , we get over there an we caught another dang piglet !!lol
oh it looks like its gonna rain so we head to unload the hogs we get there an decide to let the dogs rest an get ready to head to weigh in sunday moring we walked alot of miles swam alot an we were all tired !! but had a great time cant wait to do it again
