VA hog hunting

hows the hog hunting in VA? I have family(non hunters) out there and when I go to visit would like to see if I can squeeze in a hunt. hoping its better then socal...lol

probably less than 800 hogs in the whole state, and they are only in two places, one county has a few small herds and the others are on protected land and can only be hunted thru a lottery system. Like find a needle in a hay stack.
