hey guys, im new to the forum, but not new to hunting, just wanted to share, my 340lb hog i took last winter, ill killed a 250lb just this last wkend. any how,the site is great.

Thanks bronco, yes i hunt with dogs. I run catahoulas, and Mt curs. The big hog in the pic, my catch dog jumped last year, we had been out looking for sign, and while i sat down to tak a breather, my ole catch dog, walked off down a ridge, into a thicket. Heard the shit hitin the fan, and out they ran. I have a Mt cur strike dog, caught up with him, the took him over to a rock bluff over the river. A buddy of mine , who is green at running hogs, pushed in there to fast. I told him to back out cause they were to close to the edge, dogs were loked up on him, and the ole pig, stepped off the edge of the bluff. Hog an dogs went right off a 40' drop I ran to the edge thinking the worst, heck they were fightin like crazy, and the boar busted bay. Dogs had a hard time stoppin him after that an just basicly wore him down. When we caught up, the hog was sitting on his ass, against a 5 strain barbwire fence, fighting the dogs off. My buddy shot 10 times with his .40 cal. Hog still fighting, i finially droped him behind the ear with a .22mag.
I have caught hogs over 300, a few times, but by far this one was the baddiest. My catch dog, took, 10 stitches, on the chin. couple in the chest, and 26, across his pecker, and sack I felt for the poor guy there!
I hunt Missouri mostly, but have been in the Ok, area a few times hunting, work keeps me close by.
