female plott on hogs...any tips?

i have a plott hound that is of the shorter eared, annoying bark, and whatnot breeding...i was told that she would be good on hogs. she has been on a few caged coons and one bobcat. i don't know a whole lot about hog hunting. i am in oregon. does anyone have any info on hog hunting here in oregon.

from what I have been told there isnt enough pigs in oregon to warrent having any hog dogs. The hogs are supposedly few and far in between.
