I got a story I want to share. It's a hog hunting story but kinda has a message with it. Last Sunday morning me and a couple buddies went huntin. Pretty quick into the hunt my dog Catsquirrel opens. I could tell is was a cold track by the way he barked. He made a big circle cold trailing...Well while Catsquirrel was cold trailing this pig, my friends bluetick hound opened hot, then bayed. Knowing this bluetick I dint figure it was a pig. I figured it was a coon, possum, cow, anything but a pig. Well we decided to go check and see what he had since he was on the way to gettin closer to Catsquirrel. Well when we get there theyre bayed in a little stand of switch cane, Catsquirrel is in there bayed too. So now "Im like what in the world", I think this bluetick has got my dog to trashin. Well we wait a second to make sure its a pig... Well it breaks, and sure enough its a pig... Catsquirrel runs him way over a mile and bays... Well in tryin to figure out the best way to him we go through a bunch of water, almost drown my four wheeler out, and no where close to him, back track through the water again, and this time my four wheeler does drown out, have to turn it on its side, drain all the water out, get back on, go down another trail hoping this one will get us close to him, nope dead end, back track again after a few more trails and some self made ones we get as close as we can, have to stop due to a deep creek. But we're close enough to walk to him. Have to wade across this creek, its cold too!!! Get there and turn the catch dog loose, she gets there but misses or gets knocked off. We gather up the dogs and headed back to the four wheeler empty handed... After a few days, I was reflecting back, and I think God give me a message through my dogs and the hunt. See if I wouldve trusted my dog Catsquirrel, who has never let me down me before, and believed he was bayed on a pig, believed what he was telling me, we wouldnt have had to go the miles we went and through all the water and the dead end trails. In life if we would just trust God and listen to what He's saying and believe it we might not have to go through all the stuff, and dead end trails we put ourselves through... Trust what God is telling you... He knows whats best for you. He has never let nobody down, and He's not about to start!!!
