What hound breed do you like for hogs and why?

Hound/blackmouth or hound/cat cross. These are what I would like to try. I run two grade hounds on hogs with my other dogs every once in awhile. They do fine, but for hogs, I don't like the way they hunt. I want them to come check in if they aren't finding a trail to run. They seem to want to hunt and me check in with them. These are the only two I've tried on hogs, it may not be the norm.

Cuts and cur/plott crosses. The reasoning is I like rough, silent dogs.

Catahoula crosses. Catahoula for the baying skills, and something else. Wether it be something to make them a little extra gritty (airedale ect) or crossed with something to make the nose a little colder. (like many different cur breeds or hounds). Always slilent trailers.

I lived in Ca once upon a time and met a guy that used Catahoula crossed with Queensland Healer or Aussy cattle dog. They still run silent but had far more grit to them.

i started off with nothing but pits on the ground 12 years ago, and caught lots of hogs because by the time the hog new the dog was there they had him stretched out. then switched to cur dogs because i knew if i kept hunting with pits i was going to hunt myself out of hogs to hunt. cur dogs have worked well for several years, but it seems in the last couple of years the hogs have really put it on my cur dogs. its tarted getting really hard to get them stopped and the curs just didnt havethe staying power that it took to get the job done. in the last few months i have thrown an open mouth 6 year old plott gip in the pack just for shits and giggles and i have actually caught more hogs with her then my cur dogs or my cur plott crosses, and i think it is strictly because of the drive and the staying power that this plott has, she absolutly will not guit. this time next year cur dogs will be a thing of the past in my yard. i hope the plotts are the answer to my problem.

Plott/cur, Plott/Cat, Buddy of mine has a walker that is silent and will smoke a track but those kind of pure silent hounds are very hard to come by.
