Rarely heard of them being used on hogs, only once in Texas I saw that.

I would drive up for em, but I don't wanan take the chance I am hog hunting and they are somewhere busy with a big ol Florida Swamp Coon.

you need to get out more catcher . airdales been used on hogs for more years than i been alive . they are excellant for any big rough game . and i to wish they weren't so far from texas i'd bite .

I have seen them PLENTY of times used on bear, lion, and even retrieving. thats common for me
I have seen them in texas used on hogs but not nearly as much as curs, hounds, bulldogs.

yeh the hog hunting craze in texas is in the big picture a recent event . and you don't see many now days because like alot of good dogs they been ruint by the akc breeders for show and pet quality . so a good hunting line is hard to locate in the south . uglydog ranch uses crosses with great success and a kennel called airahoula does as well . they have a few pure breeds at work . i would love to find me a pair to work for me instead of these nuckle headed bull dogs of mine . when i was a youngster just about every wolf and yote pack had a couple runnin with em . but we didn't have a hog problem in texas back then . there are still a bunch around but rather pricey and been bred to be purty dogs not hunters . i was wanting some to cross into my dogs and will find some but i'm in no big hurry . where ya been ?
