I've went from amostly cur dog pack to a half hound pack to combat the running hogs. I have the same problem. Once we get the hog running and have a pattern of him on the Garmin, we put cur dogs when we see him cross the road. I understand the "fast gritty bay dogs" but hogs here only need a second to get away from a cur dog and then they are gone. I haven't fround a cur dog yet (in my pack or any of my buddies packs) that has the drive and stamina to sya with a running hog for more than a couple of hours. I use plotts, but I would use whatever kind of hound I could get my hands on as long as it will trail, jump and run a hog without quitting.

So now I just need some fast gritty bay dogs to solve my problem. If anyone in southeast GA has any or knows where any are please email me johnboy_2011@hotmail.com or pm me. Thanks
