Need some advise

Postby CaliPlotts » Thu Jul 14, 2011 1:39 pm

Hey everyone! New to the site and to catching hogs. I have a 2 1/2 year old male plott that likes to fight when he gets around any other males any tips on how to modify this behavior would be much appreciated.

shock collar shock collar shock collar .I hate a fighter turn the trigger up to you can hear it humming . When he growls .....fry him i usually hit em 3 times for about 2-3seconds . Sounds bad but it usaully only takes once or twice and he is cured . fighting and trashing are the only 2 things i use a collar for

From my experience shock collar on a agressive dog can esclate the problem, the dog growls or starts fighting and you light him up he'll think its the other dog hurting him and you made it worse. I do NOT put up with any type of agression out of my dogs especially a Bulldog, the best option is to cull him with a hot lead pill and move on. There are too many good natured dogs out there to fool around with trying to FIX a agressive dog. Cull and move on.
