Hey everybody, Im new to this site and also very new to hunting. I was just wondering if u guys can give me some tips on hog hunting! I live in Minnesota and i have one jagdterrier that is two years old right now but never seen a hog before, but i know that hes going to be a good bay dog. I got so that i can go hog hunting some where down south cause i also want to have some fun too. Planing to go hunting next year or something cause right now im still in college and dont have the time for hunting roadtrips. can everybody give me some clues on how hunting goes? Oh and because i only have one jagdterrier but planning to get one by next year, how would i hunt only with one dog (jagd)?

the jagd should run the track & bay the hogs. you go to the bay and shoot whatever you can. i'd reccommend a 357, 44 or 45 lever carbine. you'll kill more hogs running one good dog than 1/2 a dozen.

I'd pretty much agree with pops on this one except that I'd be carrying a .35 Rem.
