Crockett dogs are getting very rare. Most are very diluted with other lines. Ive hunted them for 20 yrs but only have a little bit in what I have now.
Mr. Johnson would be where I would look first.

Just curious , since were on the subject of plotts , if any of you may know of a breeder of plotts in Mississippi ? I am working on buying a pup here real soon . I also bought a plott two days ago from a friend of a friend . He is out of registered stock not sure of the bloodlines . I am goin to check in on that . They couldnt get him papered because of his color , no brindle markings . He is a redish, blonde with a darker red color on his back . I havnt hunted yet . He is supposed to be a descent hog dog, just not hard baying on cattle . We will see soon .

Mississippi Hogger...you need to talk to Mike Cauley. He has has his reg plotts for more than 25 years. He is located on Folsum, LA. I use Cauley Plotts and they are rough and tough plotts. Give me a call if you are interested. 337 208-7729

Orval Roberts used to have some good plotts there in LA, also there was another guy, I can't remember his name right now, he was a high school football coach and he used to write some for "BAYED SOLID". I'm sure there are others also, good luck.

best bet is jason. rev. jackson doesn't really raise alot of puppies anymore. i know jason has a 6 month old available. crockett is all but a faint memory now. kenny shelton used to have them but not so much anymore. if it aint first two generations it practically is gone. hope you have luck finding one.

Joe Dorsey in, I think Tennessee, claims to have the purest crockett blood around. Ive got a guy thats trying to get his number for me. When he does i'll post it. He sells a few pups and some finished dogs. He will show them in the woods and put a guarentee on them.

That would be Jay Dorsey, hes in SC. You better have a large bank roll. Think he asks like $800 a pup.
