Tn hog hunters

A new bill that has been introduced by state Senator Mike Bell (Polk, Miegs, Bradly, McMinn counties) would remove wild hogs on private property from TWRA Control.

SENATE BILL 2127 By Bell
AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 70, relative to wild hogs. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE: SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 70-1-206, is amended by adding the following as a new subsection:
(c) Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (a) of this section, or any other law to the contrary, the wildlife resources commission is not authorized to promulgate any rule, regulation, or proclamation that regulates hunting wild hogs on private property. Any rules, regulations, or proclamations of the wildlife resources commission in effect immediately prior to the effective date of this act, which regulate hunting wild hogs, shall not apply to the hunting of wild hogs on private property on and after the effective date of this act.
SECTION 2. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 70-1-302, is amended by adding the following as a new, appropriately designated subsection: ( ) Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (a) of this section, or any other law to the contrary, the wildlife resources agency is not authorized to regulate the hunting of wild hogs on private property, or to enforce any rule, regulation, or proclamation that regulates hunting wild hogs on private property.
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it.
So, we need as many peoplw as possible to contact our senators and Representatives asking them to "please support SB2127 and HB 2173"
