Tell me about your wrecks.

Just about every hog race for me ends up in the brush. Rarely if ever do the hogs leave a brush patch of significant size and make a break for it through open ground.

Last weekend a hog left a solid brush mountain to cross a county road then cross a 3 mile wide grassy valley in the middle of the day down the middle of the hi way. The highway is a popular for groups of motorcyclists taking day trips. Needless to say it wasn't a pleasant experience to watch the pack of a dozen or so riders pass a hog n dog race from the top of the mountain more than a mile away. Watching near miss of car/motorcycle vs dog over and over. Eventually the dogs turned from tiny specs to completely vanish all together before we could even make a dent in the growing 3 mile gap.

2 of us ran down down the mountain and down the highway. Another guy and myself went back halfway up the mountain and took the Polarises back to camp to get the pickup. I drove down the highway and picked up everyone and all the dogs except one. Stood in the back of the truck and beeped the last one till she came in.
Ive had worse wrecks than this but having to watch my dogs chase a hog down a highway getting passed or potentially hit by cars or motorcyclists for a mile or 2 was a little more than I could handle that day.

Got any good wreck stories?
