Last years gator tag we had 2 not sure if this is the 12 footer or the 13 footer but I aint gonna split hairs
This a 286#lb boar we caught down the road from the house about a month ago he got my buddies blue dog and scuffed up a few others .We actually thought it was another hog we been tryin to catch thats been wreckin dogs everytime we get on him .We cut 3 bulldogs to him cause the other hog been breaking bay real bad but this hog is about 75-100lbs lighter than the one we thought he was
This is the biggest sow I have ever caught without any question Im gonna gues she is close to 350 lbs I alwalys laughed when someone said they caught a sow over 300 lbs ...most people dont know what a 300 lb hog looks like actually they see a 300 lber and say 400 lb this ol girl here was huge
thats me in the orange shirt and im right at 300 lbs
Me and ricky caught this hog in january on one of those wam bam dogs out , bayed , caught the hog , and headed home hunts

Gator huntin is fun but I'll give some advice ...dont catch a 12 foot gator in 4 ft of water ...HE CAN STAND UP AND HE CAN TRY TO COME IN THE BOAT ....THANK GOD FOR BOAT PADDLES AND HOME RUN SWINGS

You can shoot em with a bow but the state regulates how it has to be done . The arrow has to have a rope tied to it and it has to be tied to the boat .....dont ask cause I dont know why . It would be more trouble than its worth all the slack rope around your feet and how heavy it would have to be to hold the gator its just easier to hook em with a fishin pole and then get some hand lines ( which have to be tied to the boat also) in em then you can handle them ....However I do know a few GOOD OL BOYS that alledgedly hunt them with a bow ( cause its quiet) The fish cops cant catch them though to find out who it is for sure ALLEDGEDLY the old stick and string works pretty good

We do use hounds and curs for the bay dogs and we use bulldogs for lead-in catchdogs ....But as far as hound or cur open or silent if that sucker produces pork I dont care if its neon green with a hot pink stripe up its back with a chihuahua head weiner dog body on great dane legs and tail like racoon I'll feed it IF IT PRODUCES HOGS

You get 1 ticket for $6 and you can buy as many as you want , for 1 tag there is a 4 man team . I heard horror stories of guys goin together and spending anywhere from $100 to $1,000 , and doin this for years (since it started a couple years ago) an still havent got a tag . Me and a friend of mine (who got a tag last year) decided to spend thirty a piece and if either got a tag we would be on each others team ......Well we both drew tags and it bein my first tag im sure there were some mad folks . It starts in june and they draw in july and the hunt is in august .Last yr we tagged Bruce's gator on the first Friday night and we took mine the first Saturday night and both of us got in the local paper . Out of state folks can apply also just have to buy an out of state small game license which isnt very expensive .If someone signs up and gets a tag we will guide you for free we just want to go ..We guide some guys from north alabama and they tagged out a good respectable ten footer . I wish they'd open season on them cause they eat my dogs . If anybody gets a tag and needs to be showed around all you need is you , your tag , license , and your motel room ......we got everything else .Boat , gun , snares , hand lines , fishin poles ect.
