Barking on Hot Scent

I have a young Catahoula I am training right now. She comes out of a cow dog bloodline from Texas that I do not know anything about. She has a killer nose and is real good when it comes to baying and has a lot of drive. However, when I turn her into the bay, sometimes she will "yip" on her way in. Other times, she will run straight there and if the older dogs lose the hog in the brush, she will run around "yipping" at the HOT scent. I have talked to a few people that have had this problem and some people say when I get her broke, and start letting her run with the older dogs, she will stop doing the "yipping" thing and that she is just too excited. Others say it only gets worse in time.
Has anybody had this problem with a dog breed that does not normally bark on scent? If so, can you give me some input on how the dog turned out and what I can expect? Will it stop "yipping" or will it only get worse? Is there a way to break a dog from doing this?
