Good Barr Hog and a good visit

A long time friend of mine Came back home to the coast this past weekend and we had ourselves a good visit. Among other festivities, we managed to slip away from the house and go hunt on some property where we've had some god awful hog races in the past, but occasionally he and I will manage to catch us some big ol bruisers. This trip did not disappoint.
We put out a couple nice, but young curs on a dried up old wallow after not seeing any other sign at all the whole night. Our dogs worked that old cold junk for a spell and finally headed on out still just tracking. After much cold tracking and babbling and a lot of hububaloo the two lil cur dogs met up with a group of coyotes and unfortunately tucked tail and retreated!
as I was about o have a meltdown, Josh suggested we simply go around the yotes and get back on track. it pays to have smart friends
We did just that and a young dark horse that we hadn't much faith in as of yet showed us that he wanted to get on the "A" team!! He went and knocked on ol Porkys door and said how do ya do? all the other dogs were pretty hot on his tail and we were there to send the bulldog in short order.
Heck of a hunt, Blessed at no life threatening injuries and Most blessed to have had a great time with such a great friend.
