I made a little quick walking hunt here at the house tonight. I had worked some dogs on cattle today so I took 2 others out for a hunt or at least a little exersise. I left the catch dogs at the house with my wife and told her I would call if I got anything bayed up. Now I have not seen any hogs around the house all summer so I was pretty sure we were going to just go for a little hike. I un-snaped Jessie, my #1 strike dog and Mable a young started dog and off we went. The dogs trot off into the wind and then break and run, they had winded a hog and had a bay going 1/2 mile from the house. I ran to them to see what they had, nice little hog, Jessie baying like a champ and young Mable up close under the hogs head baying like a finished dog. I called my wife and told her I had a bay 1/2mile south of the house, little hog just right for Adora. I told here to bring Japser and Adora and let them loose as soon as they could hear the bay...Well all she had to do was open the yard gate and they were off like a shot.I could here them closing in at high speed from 1/2 mile out, It was a great sight. Jasper hit the hog and latched on the nose and 2 seconds latter Adora hit the ear her impact on the hog knocked Jasper off the nose, he grabed the other ear and we had a caught hog. I pulled Jasper off and let Adora hold for about 3-4 min. Stuck the hog and walked back to the house. Good Training night for a yound catchdog and a yound baydog. Adora is 8 1/2 months old & 80lbs.

I run AB's, but I have been thinkin of gettin a Dogo, just to try, I have herd alot of good things about'em. Do ya know if the fella you got yours from has any pups? And thats a good lookin dog to by the way. They look alot like my Scott type American Bulldogs.

They're that sensitive? All but one of my Bulldogs are solid white and have never had any troubles. And they're about the same price as a well bred American Bulldog. I have only hunted behind a few of'em, and from what I've seen from'em they are the only catch dogs that can hang with AB's as far as bein able to run, them and the AB's have the lung I like in a catch dog. The main reason I'm lookin into gettin one is to cross it to a AB.
