Me and my sons sow 10-03-08

Postby hawgdawg » Sat Oct 04, 2008 3:43 am

Me and my 13 year old son loaded up the dogs and rode down the road to a pine thicket and turned one strike dog out (Tig) AT ABOUT 8:30 p.m..He hunted for a little while and came up with nothing as he is real short range,we loaded him up and drove further down the pine thicket lane and turned him out at a corn feeder.(9:00 p.m.)He hit the ground made a loop around the feeder and hit the woods like a bullet,he ran in about 100 yards and started baying. We listened for a bit and I told my son it sounded like a good solid bay.It was so thick I decided to turn my little catch dog Lucy loose at the road we were on.She ran in and I heard her hit the hog ,but no squeeling ---then it all broke loose the hog started squeeling and we took off.I had my young Pit with me on a lead and we got to them and Lucy had the sow caught down in a dry creek bed.I decided to turn the young pit loose to see what he would do and he ran in and hit the other ear,he let go and hit the ear again and held till we broke him off.I was proud of my young pit ,he done good for his first time. I flipped the sow and got her hobbled and got both dogs broke off and then the work started .I had a pretty rough time getting that sow up that five foot high creek bank,we finally got it out and loaded in the truck. It was a good hunt with no dogs hurt,a sow that guessing weighed 225# and back to the house in two hours after we left .

That quote came out of a letter to the editor in the Washington times.

I liked it to. I emailed it to every Senator and Representative I could get the email address of before they passed the bailout bill, but it doesn't seem to have done any good.

I wish I could believe that the stock market has been rescued, but the best we can hope for is that the inevitable has been postponed a few years, the worst is that the stock market will go ahead and crash now, but either way, they will still take our money.

If the two major party candidates we have running now are the best that can be found out of the millions of Americans, I vote that we just leave the postion vacant for 4 years.

OK, my political rant is over for now.
