Calvin, Dennis times 3, Chris, Roger and myself all met up near the border on a large ranch for a full day of hunting.
These hunts will really spoil you! We had a awesome lodge to stay in with GREAT food ready for us when they dogs were put away.
It took some getting used to the counry and learn the layout of the ranch. We did manage to scratch out 4 hogs for these guys. I think everyone had a great time!
Here was our huning rigs:
Whole new meaning to "riding shotgun":
The Top-drives give a whole meaning to "field dressing":
That is a fold out game hoist with a elec. wench
Here is Mark with our first pig of the day(this was his first stick):
WE should have had a nice boar also but I slipped into a bay that the dogs had run for almost 2miles; with no catchdogs to find a big boar poping his teeth in the "longgrass" He was less than 5yards from me and all I could see was his ears. It was getting dark so I tried for the head shot with my pistol and thought it was perfect but he didnt think so when he ran ANOTHER 1.5miles on the GPS before lossing the dogs in a tank. I guess he was TOO CLOSE for me to hit........LOL
Everyones dogs did really good. I was happy to see how we all worked together to put some good packs on the ground that really make good teams.
