Coyote tournament help

Postby RezDogRendezvous » Fri Feb 08, 2013 3:03 am

Any of you guys that enter these with info on: how they're typically arranged, prizes, rules, and your favorite thing about the tournaments that draw you into them. I'm wanting to get something put together before the end of the month. Want to keep it simple, probably a jackpot deal for now. Prize ? for first. Prize ? for youth hunter. And prize ?? For first wolf killed on the Rez! any suggestion would be appreciated!! Main reason for this is I'm tired of the ignorant deer hunters who ask me how many cats and bears I've been catching and then at the end of the conversation always say, "kill em all! They kill a lot of deer and elk!" Second reason is because the tribe issued out nine permits for wolves on our Rez. They need hunted! Thanks

For the coyote predator hunts I've been in it usually goes hunter enters for "X" amount of dollars and then the prizes break down:

First place = biggest coyote (seen it ranging from 10% of entry fees to entire entry fees)
Second place = 2nd biggest coyote
Small prize = smallest coyote

The best ones I have been in have door prizes so everyone that enters into the hunt has a chance to win a hat or something like that.

Also, some have a raffle where only the people that get a coyote get their name in so even if you don't get biggest coyote you still have a shot at winning something for just shooting one.

Just the low down on the ones I have entered.
