AZ HUNTERS

Postby arizonabeagle » Thu Dec 03, 2009 4:53 am

just wanna give ya'll a heads up last weekend a buddy and myself were out dove huntin off florence kelvin rd. just west of the A diamond ranch..well we were puttin along a wash tryin to find a good place to walk for birds when i spot something tumble down the bank to my right...i look back and there was a juvenille bobcat sittin at the foot of a dead mesquite tree..well we jump out of the truck cell phone cameras ready cause it aint everyday you just stumble upon a bobcat..not around there anyways. well we get out and this little guy gets to stumblin away doin the drunk walk, i knew right away there was somethin wrong, well we followe this fella for about 50 yards and he was oblivious we were behind him..finally got a to anohter bank across the wash where i could get higher and take look at the front of him cause i figured he was rabid..sure enough i get above him and he's got the wild eyes, tongue stickin out and foamy mouth, classic rabies symptoms, well my buddy has his 9 mm on his hip and one he put him down, called fish and game monday told em the story and locations
last night we were sitin around a bonfire and apparently a guy he works with was out in the same area by the microwave towers with his dog quail huntin, came across ANOTHER rabid bobcat, this one was an adult and came straight for him
long story short fish and game said they've have about 5 or 6 calls this year about rabid bobcats in the area...guess thats why side arms are always a good idea

just wanna warn anyone who might be over that way to just keep an eye out for any signs of rabies in any animals they encounter, especially you guys that bring that kids out.
have fun, be safe, and happy huntin to you all

Seen on the news tonight were a kid was on his way to school over near Buckeye and a couple of coyotes chase him on his bike and when he slowed down to cross a canal one bit him on the calf. This is what happens when Peta get involved in wildlife mangement. They outlawed lion hunting in Cal. They got trapping outlawed in Arizona. Will not be long until one of our endangered Mex. Wolf kills someones kid. When the big city folks vote with their hearts and not with their heads. They think this is the Wonderful World of Disney!

Never argue with an idiot! They will drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience!
