I think that sounds like a deadly combo. Never killed a bear with bow but I've taken 20+ whitetail with my bowtech destroyer. Make your fist one count! Have u ever shot up? Kinda tricky. I'm not sure how u could practice this shot though. Good luck let me know if u knockem out, center punch them bitches! Hahaha....

i have never shot up a tree ,use to shoot off my buddys deck to give us the down hill shots when i was shooting my last bow even got a ladder on the deck and shot off that too that was fun 25 feet in the air . i will make my first shot count watched all kind of video clips on the broad heads fron them punching thought one side of a steal drum etc to the shoulder bone of an elk to a balistic jell and hide demonstration on the damage they can do . my local archery shop want pic of us doing this he is doing a picture wall and wants pic of us so he can have bragging rights whack em and smack em right in the kool aid pump .

Your set up will be perfectly adequate.
Shooting up is the same as shooting down, most guys over shoot.

an archery style rangefinder would come in handy you know the kind that tells you actual yardage and also adjust for different angles(30 yards but 20 degrees up hill so shoot like its only 25 yards type deal). you will have plenty of time so make the first shot count and be ready to knock another one!!
