Utah is always a good choice for DIY mule deer hunts. There is lots of public ground and lots of nice bucks if you take your time and put in a lil work. They are changing how they hunt deer next year so if you need any help just message me and i can help ya

thanks bawinhound! I'll keep ya in mind. I know of a guy who has family in wyoming and they tend to kill nice bucks every year. I just need to tree a bobcat for the guy and he'll take me along I guess. If my young dog does good on cats this winter I might be taking two trips out west next fall. One for mulies and the other for lions. thinking montana or wyoming for lions. I know wyoming is over the counter tags and with some good hunting. My buddy has a place to stay in montana, which is the reasoning for that possibility. I understand Utah is over the counter as well you run lions there? if so send me a PM and let me know what the runnings like there.

thanks!
