Goose Tips and Turkey Dogs

Anyone have any tips on hunting geese both early season and later. Such as blind setup, decoy placement, choice of call, how often to call.
All help would be good, since this is my first season hunting goose and satuday was pretty bleak.
Also in Oregon's hunting regulations it mentions that dogs can be used to hunt fall turkey, how is this done and with what sorts of dog? Only methods ive ever heard of used the blind technique and the stalking one.
