There are TONS of rumors going around about this bull. I personally do not like the idea of a major guide service surrounding and sleeping with a bull that suddenly appears in the woods. Several upon several hired guides were assigned to this bull. To begin with, this bull allowed a train of hunters/anybody to drive up the dirt road and pull along side the road to view it at approx 100 yards off the main road. Interestingly enough, this bull was NEVER seen before this last years hunt!! Was he dropped in? Was he herded in? How did he get there was the rumor. Another funny point was the fact that NOT another bull on that mountain looked anything like him. Wouldnt he pass some genes around somewhere??????????????? I have hunted that mountain my whole life and never seen anything like him. Now, sure he could have hid up in some thicket of trees somewhere but i doubt it. Sure he could have not bred with any other HOT in heat cow, but i doubt it. I just like the DIY hunts. I like someone who picks up a rifle and heads to the hills and HUNTS for his prize. Not follow a guide while working up a sweat and calling it pursuing game. Well i will quit now, all i know is that Boone and Crocket made him official and it is what it is.

Ike,

I wonder the same things you mentioned in your post. The "Spyder Bull" as mossback so affectionately calls him is a big question mark to me. Previous to the killing of spyder, my ol man held the state record with a 6x7 non typical bull scoring 434 gross and 424 net. This bull held an extra 3rd tine measuring around 19 or 20 inches. This bull obviously reproduced with cows to create many dominant bulls as well. Several bulls have been killed on that mt. (around that area) with the same exact set of horns on thier head, just a little smaller. Where is spyders offspring??? How does a bull grow so much is so little time?? Is it all about money?? The $100.000+ tag is crazy enough!! Anyways, I will shut up now before someone gets on here and thinks they have to defend the mighty empire.....
