Great reading for horsemen and mule skiners

This book is a classic and contains some of the most reliable and studied information on horse travel and packing ever written. Although it was written from the cavarly perspective it will be noted that no other group has ever so studied or used the equine conveyance in so many different settings as the military.
Selection, care and training were upmost and when on treks of hundreds of miles when there was nothing to fall back on but your two feet you had to know what you were doing. Recommended reading for the novice or expert, and it will also give you many ideas that will make your outdoor experience that much more enjoyable.

Found a copy in my wifes uncles library, he is now 90 years old. It is a great read one of my favorites along with the mule alternative. They seem to be intersting history books to me.

Thanks Mike,
that's just what I've been looking for.
