Not sure how to hobble break a horse. like said before everyone I have tried to hobble always run faster with them on then off

. Another thing to do is break them to "ground tie" I do this with all my rope horses for two reasons: 1. when I stop my horse as I rope I don't want any movement from them I want them straight and still. 2: If I need to get off for some reason I don't want them to be running around I want them to stand. The way I do it is I simply step off and walk away if they fallow or run off I back them, not lead them, to the spot where I wanted them to stand. a few times of backing up along ways they figure out it is easier to stand reather then backing up. This will help your horse learn to stand patiently at a tree.
