Anybody read Horses, Hitches and Rocky Trails by Joe Back enjoyed it alot and he is a awesome artist.

The best most informative and entertaining book on packing. a must for all hunters who use horses and mules.


Smoke Elser also wrote a great book on packing that is an excellent read.

Yep, I got it and its a great little book.

Ollie Hill also wrote a book about horse and mule packing, He also gives seminars and has a college accreditted course he gives . Just punch in Ollie Hill / horse packing and you should find him.

Dang Smoke Elser, Joe Back and Now Ollie Hill. Seems like a trend.

"Trail Riding , Packing and Training" by Stan Walchuk is really informative
but his "Cordillera" is just a great read.
They can both be found here

One more is in the company of mules by Jody Foss have not read it but cant wait to when have some money, That Cordillera book looks awesome thanx for the info.
