Trailer setups

Wanting to see some pics of the trailer setups you guys use.

How do you guys that hunt off horseback haul your horses and dogs when you set up a camp? I'm thinking about a gooseneck trailer with sleeper in the front, but need to figure out how to haul dogs, or dog box at the same time???? I made two trips to bear camp this year, one with horse trailer and mule, one with camp trailer. Trying to eliminate that.

Mike,
It takes some money up front, and committing a pickup to just hunting, but I've decided to go the same route as Sam Dieringer and J R Murdock. Wally Kastelnick and John Kibbler had sort of the same deals also. I'm going to rig up my F 450 to haul the dogs and 3 head of horses/mules. Then I can pull my camp trailer. It may not haul enough riding animals for you, but it's something to consider. If you pitch tents for camp, you could pull a horse trailer instead of a camp trailer. You could then haul all of your camp and feed in the front of the trailer, with more mounts in the back.

This is something I've debated over and over about what would be best.. I just ended up building my boxes on my truck with plenty of storage and pull a bumper hitch 5 wide trailer and use a wall tent. I also run coyotes with stag hounds so I had to keep a jump box on my truck. I seen a guy one time at a truck stop that has a similar set up like Benny is talking about.. He had 2 mules in the back and a pretty big camper trailer in tow, he wasn't a hound hunter but it would be easy enough to set it up with some boxes. It was a pretty sweet set up.

Another thing if you pull a trailer around here on these ranch roads you better have a 5' wide trailer where you can stay in the ruts..

I would love to have a rig where I could have a camper, mules, hounds and also my UTV but I'm not sure how to get all that done.

I put my hounds in the nose of the goose neck. im going to cut out my center gate and move it forward to make another hound storage. I should still be able to haul 3 head in a 16'x5'.

I debated about the best system too. I take a wall tent or make 2 trips with the camp trailer. Hard to cough up the money for rig like Benny described. Ive seen a few and they are sure nice and would be the way to go if I had the extra dinero
