chaseb,

My wife rides one on her Hancock Gelding.

Her saddle has the semi quarter horse bars and fits her gelding real well with only light blanket or pad......It will fit my Mule with a slight change to padding.

Her's has a 5 inch cantle and sure makes the back feel better after a long day. The Low Moose front end allows for lots of "Grab" with your inner thigh....you should feel secure no matter how rough the terrian or how "Fresh" your mount may be.

It came with a 3/4 flat plate rigging and has not sore anything she or I have ridden it on.

Hope you enjoy yours as much as she enjoys hers....Michael Teskey has been good people and his store is the next thing to a Horsemans Heaven!

I am not familiar with the Teskey model but I have ridden a LOw Moose a lot. It is a pretty popular tree out here with cowboys in the rough country where you need a lot of purchase while you may be brush popping steers jumping washouts at high speed and flying off steep bluffs trying to get some beef on the line. If you ride some pretty salty horses that tend to break in two now and then be careful with that 5"cantle and make sure there is no more than 1.5 dish in it or you will be wearing some bad bruises across you lower back.

I just picked up my young mule from a guy that's been riding her. I asked about the tree that was getting worked on, and he told me it was a Low Moose. From the looks of it, a guy could really get a hold and stay on a bronc!

Does anyone have a pic of one? I don't guess I've seen one to know what it is.

Try this!

http://www.teskeys.com/teskey-s-low-moose-rancher.html

They will put any of several different riggings on your Saddle....Barbs is the 3/4 flat plate....I prefer the 7/8 Seat rigging.

Teskey's also makes a "Pulling"Style breast collar that will not choke your Mule, and they will make you a set of Britchen that willfit and not rub your mule when using in Bad country (you will have to send some specific measurements for this)
