Kids horse

Postby orcatdog » Tue May 24, 2011 5:25 pm

Well my 8 year old little girls prehistoric horse finally shoved in the clutch, and died. I am looking for older QH type horse (preferrably Gelding) to replace. Still needs to be able to do some Jr. Rodeo stuff, 4-H, but does not have to be speedy by any means. Dog gentle, able to load, cross water and move an occasional cow (roping not a necessity) is a must. Has to be type of horse that can go days / weeks without riding and be able to saddle right up and go.
One thing worse than a "dog jockey", and thats a horse trader. No bullshit - or stories, just a solid older horse. This is for my little girl, so if you know of a horse, lets talk, but don't mess with her safety trying to sell your junk.

I have a friend with a horse that would fit the bill. Better part is he's only six, but he'll cost ya a little. Horse hadn't been rode in a few months, threw his 9 year old nephew on him and rode all day workin cows. He is a ranch horse and has done about everything and when I say he's broke I don't just mean gentle, he turns around and handles.
